چکیده

There is a need to understand the physio-morphological responses of northern tree species climate change. The hypothesis current study was that provenance and light intensity were both influential in control intrinsic water-use efficiency (iWUE). Diameter at breast height (DBH)-increment hypothesized as being more affected by provenance. Intrinsic (iWUE), ratio photosynthesis (A) stomatal conductance (gs), assessed foliage under two levels photosynthetically active radiation (PAR; i.e., 300 1200 ?mol m?2 s?1) 63-year-old balsam fir [Abies balsamea (L.) Effect of climatic variation on the morphological characteristics of 37‐year‐old balsam fir provenances planted in a common garden in New Brunswick, Canada

The extent of the effect of projected changes in climate on trees remains unclear. This study investigated the effect of climatic variation on morphological traits of balsam fir [Abies balsamea (L.) Mill.] provenances sourced from locations spanning latitudes from 44° to 51°N and longitudes from 53° to 102°W across North America, growing in a common garden in eastern Canada. Lower latitude prov...

Thirteen species of Tenebrionidae are newly reported for New Brunswick, Canada. Paratenetus punctatus Spinola, Pseudocistela brevis (Say), Mycetochara foveata (LeConte), and Xylopinus aenescens LeConte are recorded for the first time from the Maritime provinces. Platydema excavatum (Say) is removed from the faunal list of New Brunswick, and the presence of Platydema americanum Laporte and Brull...
